He got them as a trade and was told they are pastels. They are not pastels so he is gonna sell em. regardless if they ate yadda yadda yadda. Do we really need to bash him like this.

We dont know anything about him. and all of a sudden hes trying to scam us all!!!!!

thanks at least someone is nice here as for the pied I did get a het pair for 500.00 so you can with alot of trying and I am not a damb scammer how is selling snakes that are not what you thought you were gettin a scam they have both feed 5 times since I posted I I would have responded to all the rude comments if I had even seen them but I am a leo and beardie breeder and was trying to learn somethin new but it is hard to learn with such negitive attitudes here try to help people not hurt them

True but he posted them as healthy and feeding well.
They are thin and not in any condition to be sold yet IMO.
If they really are eating as well as the poster says, then they may be thin due to parasites.
I would not chance a purchase with them especially when they claim to be a breeder and don't know thin snakes or what a pastel looks like.
Not to mention they are named Thomas and Emily which would indicate to me at least that they are a male and female but the add says 2 females.

well I gess I am a totally piece of work to all of you well what ever I also posted on here in another area that I checked all the time figuring no one else had posted here ( guess I was wrong ) funny thing is no one in the other post said a word about them being thin and if I had know ( I have never owned a ball python before as I stated I am a lizard breeder and trantulas though it would be fun to get into another species) they were thin I would not have posted them for sale but as I stated they were eating both had eated twice on hoppers before I posted the sale add and I did ask there morph because I did not want to put them up for sale as something they were not. if you want to see nice fat animals i have them I am not a bad breeder maybe I just could have used advice but know why would I want to learn from people that are so mean and jump on someone I stated I had just got the snakes in a trade and they were dewormed at a reptile vet because I deworm all my new animals when i get them and once a year there after. adn yes I was posting them for sale i needed the money and did not know they were so thin I just thought they were young since they were feeding well the only prob I have had is switching one to frozen not live but I guess since you all think they are really thin I will just have to feed the one that wont eat frozen on live untill she gets bigger

Lets see if we can work out why it attracted the comments it did and what each side can take away from it for the future.

I only had these snakes that day when I took the pic so yes I do fed them really I knew they needed extra care when I got them

I wish you'd said that in the original post and given us a timeline of how long it had been since they came into your posession - I think a lot of the problems stemmed from the impression that you had just got them and immediately placed them for sale on kingsnake. Thinking you had only just got them made the eating fine comments look like a blatant lie from our point of view.

As soon as that flag was triggered then everything else takes on a sinister hue by default.

and I have been feeding twice a week and the mean one eats at every feeding but the other one has not eatin in a week as I am trying to feed frozen and they were getting live but I will have to go back to live if he does not eat by tomorrow

Again you never told us that and our misunderstanding of the timeline meant we never thought to ask.

I truly wish I could find het pied pairs for $500 from someone I trust not to be yanking my chain and relying on the fact I wouldn't find out for 4 years - did you get paperwork with them?

This, I think, Comes down squarely on the timeline, old photo's and you not mentioning they had fed since problem again.

This is absolutely true and got overlooked in the scrum over the mis-communications and the picture of a snake that looks like it has never eaten in its life. Hopefully we will ask more questions in the future to make certain we aren't making the same mistakes.

That would be because the really skinny black backed one ( Thomas) isn't in that post so no one saw anything aside from a new snake with a plump belly and a thin tail - ie it looks like it has started eating fine or has been eating regularly but just pooped.

Emily looks on the thin side but not scarily so unlike Thomas. A lot of hatchlings get sold thin so if there are signs of eating it's not normally remarked on.

We do have a user control panel that helps keep track of replies in threads we have posted in that - to get to it click on "UserCP" on the left of the bar at the top of the forum.

I don't think this is a mean forum at all ( quite the opposite in fact) - and it was the "just got them" that really caused all the problems. I'm sorry but I don't see where you said they had been de-wormed but I may well have missed it.

Perfectly understandable - and we can hopefully provide a few tips on how to get her eating more regularly for you.

Also probably captive hatched and cost the original person who scammed you $25 each.

The deworming was a good idea anyway but I would still make sure you keep good quarantine considering the lack of trust in the source.

Wow this turned into a bit of a novel but I hope it goes some way towards explaining why things turned out as unfortunately as they did.
