    Re: Daytona... shopping list

I don't remember seeing many adult morphs for sale, and very few adult normal females.

Keep in mind, just because you get adults doesn't mean that they'll breed for you this fall - sometimes they still need a good year or two to acclimate enough to be receptive to breeding.

I recall someone posted here that their experience was with adults, it sometimes took two years before the females would breed, almost as long as buying a baby and raising them up themselves.

Having not experienced this myself, so I'm not certain how common this is, but I do recall Greg Graziani also stating that adult females will often go "off" when moved, and that those you raise yourself generally do better on one of his Reptile Radio shows.

Robin I will say that I got some adults that I intended to breed this year that didn't make it. From here on out I plan to pick nothing over 800 grams up for the intent of breeding.

A little off topic... but do you think that it would be better for me to get some 800-900 gram females and raise them up for a little bit until big enough and have a better chance at them going next season?

Mmmm Daytona--I can't wait! I'll be picking up my black pastel and stripey normal females from NERD, but other than that I have no specific list. Shocking I know! Mostly that's because I'm vending this year so my mind is focused on that rather than shopping, but I am sure I'll find some things to come home with.

Wow, what a suprise, I will also be picking up two females from NERD. What a quinkydink.

Other than those two girls, I don't have anything in mind for myself. I'm just looking forward to Daytona.

OK, OK - I'm picking up two females from NERD too - shocking isn't it?

No plans really to buy anything else, but that doesn't mean I might not come home with MORE than just those two even if I don't buy!

Ahhhh Daytona......can't wait!!!! I can't wait for this show, it is going to be so much FUN!!! Trey, Im watching you this time!!! Allan, not sure if you are coming, but if you are, I am keeping Karl away from you after you have a couple of drinks!! Ed and Robin, you two have to have more fun this show, I can't think of anything to rag you about right now, hmmmm.

Anyway, my pickups at the show are going to be.....

Male Pied (Just have to pick him up at the show, he is yet to hatch, but he is coming from BHB)

Possible a Male Cinny from Adam if everything works out.

And hmmmm, still talking to Kara, might end up breaking down and getting her to bring me a female or two.
