I agree with you completely but they are technically my hubby's and so I don't have full say on what goes on with them. The snakes are "mine." Our dragons had all been on shelf liner (the non sticky kind) since we got them but about 2 months ago he wanted to change to play sand... I tried to talk him out of it but it didn't work... So far they are doing fine on it... They eat the same, poop the same, but they also get more soaks per week (that I make sure of now because of the sand...) It is a worry of mine...not only because I love them but also because 2 of them were not cheap...the girl especially! I wish I could talk him into something safer, but still easy to clean and that looks "nice"...anyone have any ideas? lol
