I have known Peter (via phone and e-mail) for approximately nine years. We have completed several reptile transactions, as well as shared stories and information on the care and breeding of many rare herps. While I cannot vouch for his husbandry and caging methods (the animals I have received from him have always been healthy and vibrant), I have always found him to be very detail oriented and analytical in his research and communications.
With that being said, news like this (correct or not) doesn't do our hobby any favors.
