Crossing my fingers for an all girl clutch

How many more clutches are you expecting Robin?

Had to beat you this time! One more clutch in mid June here, and two clutches elsewhere!

Don't sweat it on that egg. Its really common and 9 times out of 10 it will hatch just fine. To my understanding that spot often happens on the egg that is the first one out.. has something to do with being first in line...

Oliver's eggs have <sniffle> gone into the same 'bator that their father was hatched in <sniffle> - I'm getting all weepy and emotional now!

Yaaay!! Nice and plump, and mom is quite the looker.


I wouldn't worry too much about it, windows like that are relatively common and rarely cause any problems.

Thanks Evan - I've loved Echo since she was a baby - she's a sweet girl, and although I was warned, I'm still shocked at the transformation their bodies go through after laying - that's a lot on their bodies!

Woo HOOOO!!! See?? All that worry over getting eggs and now you've got them in spades!!

I'll be in NC (Greensboro) 4th of July week. So, I'll have the eggs with me that week!

Spot looks like a window No problems there. Will actually, if it stays fertile, give you a good view of the animal without the need for lights, if you are lucky!!

Awww look what Echo did! They look wonderful Robin. Our only experience with our one window egg so far was that it did just fine. The window never seemed to get bigger or go nastly and the hatchling that came out was perfectly normal.

I'll just keep an eye on it then. I can't wait to see your babies when you get their pictures done!

Thanks Raul! Everyone keeps calling it a window - but it's not clear, and I certainly can't see in the egg through it - is it something that turns more clear the longer it incubates?
