Yes you need permits... and if you can get one, the lizards run around $1500 a piece....

As for a permit, here in Louisiana our venomous restrictions only apply to snakes so we would only need an export permit to ship them outside the U.S.

Dang, I'm jealous. They are very restrictive with gila permits in California...Bob Applegate is always displaying his gilas at shows, but fat chance on getting a permit, hehe!
