you can mist your ball python, and even give him a warm bath if you wanted...some pet stores also sell a 'shedding aid' that you can mist on them too....when i shed you can mist them about 2-3 times a day....this isnt as critical as creating a humid area for them to rest in.
Soaking or misting your snake before it sheds can actually make it worse. Spraying him directly will freak him out and cause unnecessary stress.. Do not soak him unless he has already shed and it does not come off completely. Those 'shedding aids' at the pet store are useless and a waste of money. All they are is mineral oil, which you do not need if you have the correct humidity.
