    Re: iMac's.

Not a mac fan, I bought a Toshiba laptop recently, satellite series. LOVE IT. Runs games very well, but not like my BF's desktop which is insane, but I can play graphic intensive games. The only thing I can gripe about is the battery life, which I never had it unplugged really.

I don't do mac's simply because they are "cute" so they are popular. I hate windows, I dont like microsoft, but I also dont like how Mac is set up. I havent used it for a decade or more...

I wouldn't say a Mac is cute. More like they look bad ass!!! Hehe the brushed steel look on my iMac pwns all! I didn't really like how Mac's are setup. However, that's because I was so used to PC's. Now that I got my Mac, I really regret not getting one a long time ago. I will say that I do prefer the 2-button mouse though over the 1-button Mac mouse. Other then that, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Vomitore, being new to macs, if you have any questions, just PM me. You will find that if you can find mac users around the area you live in they are enthusiastic and happy to help.

If they made a Megatron PC with his face embossed in the metal, I'd buy that in a heart beat!

The iMac just seems like a great deal to get a great overall computer that'll last a long time. I'm curiousfor input from people who are more computer literate then me.
LOL. My suggestion would be to quit WoW.. NOW!!! It's a life sucker. I played it for 3 years and i'm out several hundred dollars with nothing to show for it except 3 level 70 characters that I care nothing about.

But if you're really looking for something, go to Fry's, spend $1000 and build a bad ass PC.

    Re: iMac's.

I work at an Apple Store here in So Cal. Mac's have the best hardware possible. I've seen Wow run on the base model MacBook which only has 1 gig of RAM and a chipset video card. I used to play on my MacBook Pro when it was 2 years old and it had not so impressive specs and I was still impressed with how well it ran. I chose to play on it over a desktop and was raiding on my laptop. In terms of RAM, 2 gigs is better. Don't buy it from the store, it is overpriced. Check out www.transintl.com for some great deals. You will be happy with your computer when you stop dealing with spam and viruses, trust me. I was a hardcore, dedicated PC user for 17 years before I switched and I will never look back.

Personally, I could care less what a computer looks like on the outside. Its what they cna do is what impresses me. All my computers have been Millienium Falcons; look like pieces of junk, but they get the job done!
