Get what you enjoy, and what projects make you drool.

I love recessives, so I have all of the possible types of hets I can out of those projects. Also, since they take longer, it makes more sense to start out with them. BUT you need to have some that are trustworthy to have. (MAKE SURE YOU BUY FROM SOMEONE REPUTABLE)

With that being said, most people go with what they can see.

Get what you like. Bottom line

    Re: Beginner breeder

Thanks for all the great replies guys! Currently I'm not really thinking of this as a business. It's just a hobby and I'd love to have more snakes and breed them for fun. This snake stuff is fascinating to me and I'm not planning on selling snakes until I graduate from college (in 3-4 years).

Btw I love the SpiderXPastel idea. And breeder-wise I don't know too many trustworthy breeders, but I do know of 8ball, BaileyReptiles and few others. Can you guys recommend some more?

Good idea. If I have 4 normal females and a male dominant morph then I can easily breed that male to all 4 of the females, right?

Check out who has what available, and then check the BOI (www.faunaclassifieds.com) or the Inquiry page down at the bottom of the forum to check reptuations of the people selling...
