    Re: Shipping disputes.

Next Day Air Saver is, from what I recall, a UPS service.

    Hope they make it OK!

I also think the Next Day Air saver is UPS and I think its illegal or against policy to ship reptiles by UPS.

    Re: Shipping disputes.

It is UPS. Though I prefer FedEx I have had some surprising breeders ship UPS and haven't had a problem. It's the late arrival that really bothers me and he was upset because it cost him more then he'd planned anyway.

I can't believe a shipper would jerk you around like that, and then whine about his shipping costs. You're so right to be bothered by this.

And looking at my tracking there was some issues along the line. I hope it doesn't make them even later.

    Re: Shipping disputes.

I would call the local dock (is that what the call em?) and ask to pick it up yourself. UPS can be very late, might as well as get it when he's nearby instead of waiting for him to get to your house.

Edit: N/M, its out for delivery... sorry man. Hope it gets to you soon.

    Re: Shipping disputes.

Here's hoping they arrive soon. Even though they don't HAVE to have the box there before 3pm, UPS usually gets all the deliveries done and then go out for pickups.

Since it was on the truck so early, let's hope the driver doesn't have a large load today

Yeah, tell me about it. I got a call into UPS and I'm waiting for a call back to see if I can pick it up anywhere.

    Re: Shipping disputes.

So. I got off the phone with UPS. The label issue had nothing to do with the time, it was originally sent Air Saver (hey, I was trying to give the benefit of a doubt). They will try to reach the driver so I can pick the package up but it's not all that likely. They said latest they'll drop it off is 6 p.m.... really lovely because I work this evening.

    Re: Shipping disputes.

You're going to be home though or someone will be when the box arrives right?

This is a lesson to us all to make absolutely sure you and the breeder have good communication as to what type of shipper they use and the time you expect to have that snake arrive at your doorstep. You don't want to go through what's been posted in this thread, finding out what the deal is AFTER the snake is in transit.
