Re: Pandora the Pastel (and Fianna too!)

Btw I should mention I did still have to use a flash in these kitchen pictures. It's overcast/snowing here today in Toledo so whatever natural light I got was not great but with two large windows in there at least it was something.

Thank you all for your kind comments. We really are so happy to have her here.

Awww, wookit that perdy girl! She's so nice! I love how she's turning out and she looks like she's just thriving in your wonderful care. I don't have any of the Pastels that Orth made last year, haha. Guess I gotta make more!

And yes, that same pairing has been placed together since January. Breth laid 6 eggs last year, and all of them except one were girls, LOL. Orth seems to throw girls as I only got 1 or 2 boys last year. Here's to some more nice pastels!

Jo, now we just gotta find her a perdyful boyfriend, huh?

I love the name Fianna It reminds me of my Irish History and Irish Lit courses... gotta love Irish legends. "Fianna" makes me think Finn Mac Cumhaill, The Fenian Cycle, eventually the Fianna Fail and Eamon de Valera... She's got a name that packs a historical punch! Nice choice!

EDIT: And duh! I forgot to mention how STUNNING Pandora is! Though I'm sure that goes without saying

    Congrats Franky,

She looks amazing. Must feel good for anyone to place their snakes with your family.

I fully expect some pastel ivory pics in a few years now!

Finally, someone that truly understands and appreciates our complex Irish/Scots/gaelic/celtic naming theme...whoohooo!

I'm still having trouble myself remembering how to spell and properly pronounce Daimhin's name though...that one is even harder to get right than Saoirse or Niamh or....well you get the idea.

I tend to call her FiFi which drives my dear husband quite nuts! He figures we spend all this time picking the just right, perfect name for each snake - then I turn it into something that sounds like a spoiled lap dog. LOL

Bruce, we are beyond thrilled with this pastel that Becky produced and happy every day to see her happily tucked up in her rack spot. We've a lot of plans for little Pandora and it will be a pure joy to watch her mature and hopefully help us realize some of our dreams.

On top of her pretty looks, she's a great little snake. Very laid back to handle and not really antsy at all for a young one, just a lovely curious snake. She sure can eat though, hits that prey like there's no tomorrow.

    Congrats Jo,
That is a stunning Pastel. I'll be curious to see some of those outside shots when it warms up in Ohio.
