Is deer meat really that good? I've never had any before

don't be fooled by all the responses venison is good but if you have never had it and are used to beef fillet you probably wont like it. I have had it at our house fresh killed and had it in fine restaurants it is good but all the same game taste to it. just thought I would give my 2 cents.
