I would have if I had the money. Really. I'm looking at Reptile basic as I'm posting this, and if the price is right, then I'll go with them with the Rheostat for now. My question, if I do go with them, what should I get?

    I have the 39 1/2 X 20 1/4 x 7 tub. It's a 66qt.

I have a zoo med rated for a 15-20 gallon enclosure in the corner of my 25 gallon tank. I regulate it with a lamp dimmer and a probe right over the glass under the substrate and I keep it around 91.

I am a college student and can't afford much either, I would always suggest higher quality products and thermo/rheostats, yet I use the dimmer because it is cheap and My room does not change temp alot. Plus Im always home to check that it stays at 91, which it does quite reliably.

Sorry to bump the question. I'm in some what of a rush since I came across some cash this week. Bonus from work. So I'm looking to get the heating and a temp gun.

    What size should I request?

    Hi,

It might be an idea to actually talk to Rich on the phone to discuss what he thinks would be best for you - everyone on here has said he is super helpfull.

For my 66qt tubs I use 11'' flexwatt. This is large enough that it covers 1/2 the bottom of the tub and youll be able to use the same piece as your tubs get larger. Id shy away from the heatpads in pet stores just bc theyre way more expensive than flexwatt... 11'' flexwatt is like 4$ or something... Rich will hook you up with everything you need.

Thanks man. Just the answer I needed. I will contact Rich but I really wanted to see if anyone had a 66qt setup before I buy the flexwatt. Does your 66qt have the wheels on it? Also, do you just use that one piece and it's more than enough, or do you use lighting as well? Oh, and what type of thermostat are you using?

Do you have any pictures by any chance? I would really like to see that setup.

    Re: Help with Care.

I have 41-QT tubs. I have the ZMed undertank heaters but am upgrading to Flexwatt really soon (gotta love those work bonuses!) I think that with the tub you described, 12 inch would be good.

    Re: Help with Care.

Thanks guys for all the help. As for the humidity and temps, they're staying at around 80F - 83F on the Cool Side and 90F - 91F on the warm side just off the bulbs and the humidity around 60% - 70% without even spraying for the last 2 or 3 days.

It's getting much more easier but I will upgrade to the flexwatt. I'm also going to get me that Acu Rite. I hope I spelled it right.
