Re: Grand Central Station Prank: Frozen
Did you note how many people just walked around them? That was odd to see 200 folks frozen in place, and others just walking by completely unconcerned.

That's NYC-dwellers for you. They just aren't phased by anything. I'm willing to bet that almost all the gawkers were tourists

That was awsome!
I've seen some other videos of a huge pillow fight in New York.

And we wonder why the rest of the world is academically/ecomomically putting us to shame?

I liked the maintenance guy calling for back-up: "there are hundreds of people here frozen in place, I cant move my cart; I need help." Classic.

I'm confused by this ^
Anyway, I think things like this should happen more often. It breaks up the day to day boredom that most people don't even realize is there. It would be nice to have a bunch of people get together like that, most not knowing each other and have a good time like that. I wish something like that would happen here.

All that time and effort that it took to coordinate that "art" (its amazing what people consider art these days) could have been channeled into a positive direction, i.e getting a job, (enough of these "starving artists...")or voulenteering at soup kitchens, helping orphans and if any of you have been to Grand central, the homeless people that live there sure could have used some assistance that those people could have provided.

Re: Grand Central Station Prank: Frozen
Um...they were not doing anything but having a good time. They were not out to help anyone. They just wanted to make people stop and look for once in their lives. You don't need to get your panties in a twist because they didn't all go and give change to some homeless people. Their whole "mission" is to make people laugh and smile, not go out and change the world. Jeesh. I think it was great what they did and I don't think they did it as art, or protest or anything like that. It was simply to entertain and have a good time doing it. I don't understand why people have an issue with other people having fun.
Some people could say the same thing about your hobby with snakes. They could say "Well instead of spending all that money on reptiles, you could be donating those hundreds of dollars to charity."
Sorry for the rant I just can't stand to see people putting others down for something they did that wasn't hurting anyone or anything.

Disrupting the flow of traffic in a public place?....not cool, actually illegal.
And you talk about me wearing panties?....
