Re: Thinking of a better way..
Thanks! Wow, that is an awesome rack and that's just what I am looking for. Might I ask roughly how much space it takes up from side to side? I have an area of about 6 feet in width to work with. I would love to turn the basement here into a huge rat factory, but it is dirt-floor and gets Cold.. so I am limited to my laundry room that's about an area I have of 6x10.

You can deffanatly heat the basement with alittle work, and a space heater!

Re: Thinking of a better way..
I would rather keep my rats cool.
That whole rack is about....
29" deep
69" tall
82" long

Too many boas to list and a few balls as well

Re: Thinking of a better way..
You could certainly go another level higher but the auto watering system is hard enough with this height. I already have to left a 5 gallon bucket of water above my head for it.

Re: Thinking of a better way..
I would love to actually get a huge operation going out in the barn. But it seems too dicey with wild rodents, predators, and parasites.. indoors seems more controllable. As it is, I have found wild rats dead in our house (farm rats..) so keeping them away from my rats in the basement or in the barn seems impossible!

Have u ever tried breeding wild rats? It's nice when u get a litter, but in my experiance, it's almost imposible to get one

Re: Thinking of a better way..
Deborah made me a rack, I'm starting my third full week of using it and I LOVE it! I was using glass tanks for all of my rats, and it would take close to two hours to completely clean each week. Now, it's 20 minutes to clean six tubs.
Love, love, love, love, love the rat rack, don't know why I waited so long to switch!
