2 females both produced for me last year, the prooven breeder had 8 eggs 8 hatched and the first time girl had 5 eggs 1 had to be drained whilst still inside her and one went bad the other 3 hatched great so not bad for my first year with balls

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?

    Here was mine:

-Normal female x Pastel male 1: 8 out of 8 eggs hatched successfully. 6 Pastels, 2 Normals.

-Normal female x Pastel 2: 4 out of 4 eggs hatched successfully. 1 Pastel, 3 Normals.

-Normal x Normal: lost the entire clutch (first one of the year) when my crappy Hovabator crashed and cooked the eggs after a power outage. Lost 8 eggs that had candled well and were promising. learned.. made my incubator myself using Flexwatt, a Helix, and styro cooler.. got the great hatchlings above.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?

Well for me it kinda so far so good. I have a cluth of 4 and another of 7 in the incubator. I have anothe 3 that are gravid, I think out of 12 that I attempted. This is only my second season with balls but next year I will have potentially 35-40 females that will be ready so I need all the experiance I can get.

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?

    I said 80% - 100%

I attempted 11 girls 10 became gravid. 9 have successfully laid their clutches without mishap. I am waiting on the 10th to drop her clutch (bred her late) and the 11th fooled me (I mistook a building for ovulation).

10 Clutches hatched successfully of varying numbers and 2 hatchlings lost.

    Clutches comprise:
    Albinos
    Pastels
    Mojaves
    1 Bumblebee
    1 Pewter
    a few Normals
    Paradox (deceased)
    Pastel (deceased)

Re: POLL: What was your success rate in 2007?

I'd say I'm in the low 40's as per females bred to females that laid. Keep your eye out for the great snow storm on 08/09 though!

Wow, sounds like you had a very nice year. Sorry to hear about the two that were deceased. I actually had 90% rate. I bred 3 males two 10 females and received 9 viable clutes.
