Re: New Carpet Morphs
well actually thats pretty much what i meant, sounds like you dont disagree at all they're 'unwanted', because of the fact that when they dont show the desirable traits they are just useless intergrades to most. i was just elduding to the fact that in a jag breeding you can end up with 15 examples, rather than say, 3.
as far as the leucy goes, i agree that there probably wont be a living one from the jag genes but i wouldnt be surprised if it cropped up somewhere else down the road... the first gen STJ's sure are a step in the direction of a patternless carpet at least. personally i think the red phase coastals are nicer than any 'morph' at the moment... although i like the morphs too!

Colin, I wasn't aware that was you. Small world huh?
Yeah, I guess we look at it the same way.
And yeah, the STJ's are SWEET!!!! The closest thing to a ghost and patternless carpet we will see for some time!
And you mean like this?

Here is the sire of my Striped Jungle Carpet I am trying to prove out!
His name is Skunk.

Re: New Carpet Morphs
I have been doing my best to educate people about the wonderful world of Morelia. I personally feel that, for most people, an IJ, coastal or jungle is a better "first" snake than a ball python. Most are fantastic feeders, they're not all that temperamental and they tend to spend more time out basking and just hanging out.
Maybe one day we'll see lots of them in people's collections :-)

Re: New Carpet Morphs
hey guys, hope you don't mind if i bring up an old post...
it seems that there are a growing number of morph possibilities for carpets now that the 08's are hatching out.
the super form of the zebra carpet being the most fantastic in my opinion... like mike mentioned above, the general thought was that we wouldn't see a patternless carpet for some time, but it looks like it may already be here!
if the next few years go like i think and hope they will, then carpets really will be the next 'big thing'.
