I love Nic Boas. I have a female that is 2 years old and just over 29 inches. She will breed next season around 36 inches. And she is calm for a NIC.

I also like Hogg Islands. Very nice snakes.

    Centrals Are unerated also.

But if you want to get out of the BCIs you could go to a Brazilian rainbow. One of my favorites. Rosey boas are fun also.

Yeah, I haven't kept any Rosy Boas but I've heard they're pretty nice snakes, and they stay small.. they're pretty too!

Brazilians wont put on the mass like a BCI, but they do get long. Brazilians aren't for beginners either as they are not forgiving of husbandry mistakes.

My first boa was a Hog Island, shes struck at me before, but other than that shes been really easy for me to take care of (she never refuses meals, seems to be okay with handling every couple of days).. I've heard of some being very nippy though, so I would keep that in mind.. I believe they get around 6 feet fully grown, maybe a little more/less.. depending on the sex of the snake and how much its fed.

heres a picture of my Hog

Or you could go with a normal Columbian BCI... will most likely stay below 7 ft. (especially if you get a male), have amazing tmperaments, come in all sorts of colors...

    That's my recommendation
