The term "locality boa" usually refers to boa constrictor subspecies.

The smaller locality boas are:

- The Sonoran Desert Boa which has the Tarahumara Mt. Boa as a locality subspecies.

- The Cay Caulker Boa

- The Isla De Maize Boa

- The Crawl Cay Boa

- The Hog Island Boa

- The Venezuelans are, on the average, smaller than comparable BCCs, just as some of the Nicaraguan Boas are smaller than comparable BCIs.

The Sonorans are the smallest I've seen, with our 5 year old male measuring in at less than 48".

I keep a trio of W. Venezuelan Bci...Their mother was bred at 48 inches...My two year olds are small...

I am heading towards smaller boas because or room issues and lower feed bills...Cant go wrong saving money...

2nd most evil snake next to the black phase d'albert's I had.

My carinata carinata will hang out for about 10 minutes wrapped around my arm with no issues. Then I'll get a weird vibe from her and wham! - she'll tag me.

Our tarahumara male is roughly the same age as our sonoran male - both are 02s - and the sonoran is about 250 grams heavier and 3" longer.
