This might be a stupid question but...
If you put you're male and female in and they lockup, after there done you take the male out, but then do you put him back in a few weeks later? Or is it one lockup?

Keep pairing them until you see her ovualte. You could get 10 lokcs over 4 months and never get eggs. A lock doesnt mean she is gravid so the more locks the better your chances.
And thats not a stupid Q. A stupid question is "If I wanted to breed my male python, do I need to get a female?"

When they come out
You can also look for Ovulation, and you can also palpate, but those are skills that take a bit of time to perfect

Hope its ok to post this here. Read over this link then read it again. Untill you know every word. Ok not everyone will do it this way. This is pretty much how I breed, But I dont follow it 100%. You will here on this forum alot, (Do what works for you). But before you do you need to know what (To Do). Then once you know the basics then you can go tweaking things to find out what works best for you. Anyways ran on a bit there. Here is the link

Hold on here a minute. Are you placing this small female with the pastel male you just bought? One minute you say you were told you have 2 males now you are placing them together and wondering when HE will lay HIS eggs

Re: This might be a stupid question but...
You said your male is only like 140 grams or so. To me that is way to small to even think of breeding. Some people on this forum have bred small males, but I dont think of any that small. I hope you just asking for info for later when they are big enough. That your not thinking about putting them together now.
