Pastels are a co-dominant meaning they have a super form. So pastel bred to normal. Could be 50% normals 50% pastels. 4 eggs 2 normals 2 pastels. But it doesnt always happen like that sometimes you get all normals sometimes you could get all pastels. A pastel bred to a pastel you could get. Out of 4 eggs 1 normal 2 pastels and 1 super pastel. But then again could be a combo of any of those. 4 eggs and you could get lucky and get all supers. Or not so lucky and get all normals. Super pastel to normal you should get all pastels, but again doesnt always turn out that way. Super pastel to pastel should get out of 4 eggs 2 supers and 2 pastels. Super to super you should get all supers. Bumble bees are a mix of a pastel and spider. So you would need a spider female to breed to you pastel male. Spiders so far have not been proven to have a super form so are dominant. Meaning they have no super.(Easiest way I know to put it). So they are just like the pastels only without the super

Now say an albino thats Recessive. Ill be doing the out of 4 eggs again. Albino bred to a normal all babies will be 100% Het for albino. Meaning they all look normal in color but all carry the albino gene. Albino to albino all the babies should be albino. Now onto the hets.
Het to normal out of 4 eggs 2 normal 2 hets. But you cant tell what two are what. They all look normal untill you grow the babies up and breed them to either an albino or another Het. Het to Het could get 1 albino 2 hets and 1 normal. Het to albino should be 2 albinos 2 hets out of 4 eggs.

Well think that should help a bit. Thats pretty much genetics. The easy version of it anyways. Hope it helped some. If I have missed anything Im sure someone will fill in the blanks.

Like I said in your other post He might be ok then might not. Im not really into trying to breed the smaller males. I havent tried to breed a male under 800g. Not that it cant be done. I just dont feel like taking the risk with my animals. Some people have bred small males and it has worked great for them. Others have no luck at it. From what ive herd some males will breed at a small size and some wont. It can be bad for them can stress them out then they get sick. Then you either end up with him passing it onto you female. Him or both ending up dead. Or some vet bills. Id get a scale Set him up in Qt in another room. Weigh them both then go from there. If they are both at a good weight.

Why are you in a rush? That's when you make mistakes - like not quarantining (60 days min is what's recommended).

I couldn't wait to reach this season to breed, but I waited 2.5 years before I put my first pair together.
