    Garters are underrated snakes.. if you want to see some gorgeous colors, google san francisco garters and california red garters.

    Yes, I saw those in my "Snakes" book by Chris Mattison. Gorgeous! Do you have any garters or just go field herping on occasion?

    I don't have any.. but there are some around here in the wild. I'm not sure what species they are. I've caught a few and got musked.. don't really want to do that again. LOL

    Was it hard to "de-stink"? My husband moved a black rat snake into the woods and his hands smelled to high heaven after that. Now we know what it was! Learning every day!

    Yep.. takes awhile for it to wear off.. no soap that I know of will get rid of it completely.. at least not at first.
