Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I got a new Herpstat, a video mp3 player, a juicer and plane tickets to Vegas for a combined Christmas-Birthday gift from my girlfriend.

    nooope! No way, right?

I feel like I should explain the Rolex watch. Mark wanted one, and was thinking of buying a replica off of a website. Then he went to his friend's store; this friend sells (sold) stuff wholesale on Ebay. Turns out, said friend is selling his shop and becoming a forensics photographer (do you really think I could make this stuff up?) Mark goes in to look at computers and leaves with a free Rolex! Sure, it just might be a knockoff, but it is a good one if that.. The watch came from an estate in California that he had bought out. But his friend wants tattoos from Mark anyway, so the watch is more of a pre-payment, I guess.
So.. Mark's gift cost me $0.00. See, I had planned on getting him a more realistic watch, like a Bulova, but he was whining about wanting a Rolex. I know that this post is getting long, but I will explain. People see Mark, a tattoo artist, as a tough-guy persona and sometimes take him for a starving-artist type. Like, we went to a jewelers recently (to look for watches!) And no one would even help us. Then this hoity-toity couple walks in and the sales people fawned over them like little worshippers. Same thing when we looked at computers at Circuit City. I don't even get it, because I dress reasonably well (10-year-old leather jacket that looks new because I care for it.. and I am usually even wearing office-type clothing from my office job..)
It was moreso when Mark owned his construction business (which he still dabbles in.) We would walk into a store and Mark would look like Joe Everyman in his paint-spattered boots, caulk-stained shirt and ripped jeans. But he is a worker through and through, and anyway..
So he wanted this watch to "stick it" to people who see him as a metalhead punk. And he got it

I hope that yours is not like ours! It has a slow leak somewhere in the hose, and at odd times, it will go on and refill itself. This has nearly given me heart attacks on some occasions.. yikes!
