super balls aren't going to be any cheaper than the ball morphs and as far as marketability, there are many many people, including me that would never buy a hybrid. So your market to sell offspring just shrank considerably.

You'd have a FAR easier (and likely less expensive) time of working toward your own BP morphs than you would trying to get hybrids from snakes that don't normally breed together. Yes, it's been done and can be done...but that doesn't mean it'll happen just because you happen to put two of them together.

Figure out which ball python morphs you like best...and then figure out a plan to work toward getting them. Either way...working with morph hets, or different species...you're looking at years of planning and growing and breeding anyhow. Once you know what morphs you want to work on having in your own collection, call a variety of breeders and ask their advice on achieving your goals. Many offer payment plans if you want a visual morph right away, like a pastel or spider...or if you want a pricier het. And you can't really judge by the prices you see on the websites because most often those are not kept up to date. Your best bet for finding great deals is to get to know folks and contact them directly.

While there may be a few individuals who have the blessing of being able to go out and spend tons of money on whatever visual morphs they want right off the bat....the truth is that MOST of us have to plan carefully and be very patient and willing to put years of work into building our collection to reach those "dream" animals.

think you got the wrong idea bud, not looking to sell anything. And what you and the other people buy or wont buy, is non of my business. Theres to many people out there selling snakes. I personally dont really see anything wrong with hybrids, I buy one if i found one i like priced right. All i was trying to do with starting this thread was get peoples input on the SuperBall, to me, it looks like a really cool snake. What my second and third post was bout was if anyone knew where i could find some morphs at a good price, and thanks to who said that i should look at HET's, was a good bit of help. And now i have one more question....
WHY ARE THE FEMALE 75 times more expensive than the MALE??? And thanks for your input.

I see what your saying, and i like that, So lets say what i really want, is a albino. and my "other half" wont let me shell out alot of money for my snakes. im lucky i got a room for them, haha. So what would be the best way to go about getting my little albino guy?

You can buy a pair of het albinos for $300 or less. That would get you on your way to having an albino the cheapest route, but your still looking at 3+ years before you actually produce your first albino. By then they will likely not cost much more than $300 (of course you won't get the AWESOME experience of producing one yourself). If you look hard enough you can probably find an albino in the $600 ballpark. Not saying that's cheap, but compared to some of the other morphs it is.

    Hope that helps!

You only need one male to fertilize many females, so females have a higher demand and a higher price.

if youre interested in a ball morph for a good deal then search the net for reptile shows taking place in your area. you may be able to find a ball you like and get a deal there.

This is a tough question to answer. There isn't really a best way. Either way you do it, with hets or shelling out a lump sum for one, you're going to be spending a considerable amount of money. Maybe not all at once, in the case of the hets, but if you factor in raising up the female and male for three years (two cages, twice the food, etc.) until you can breed them, that's twice as much money you will spend in care in just that time. Then, you will need to spend money on an incubator, and caging for each baby that you produce, plus food and all that good stuff until you find homes for them.
I just wanted to bring all of this up because I didn't remember reading that you were looking to breed the snakes. Just to keep an albino as a pet? If that is the case, I would recomend saving up your money until the end of next summer when a lot of the 08 babies will be hatched out. By then, the price may have gone down some (I will not comment on what it might be because I cannot predict what the market will do). Then you have a few options, you can hunt around online for a good price, or you can go to a reptile show and possibly get a better deal.
Anyway, that's just a few ideas to toss around in your head. Hope that helps.
