I would talk to the owner as soon as possible and explain to him what they are doing wrong, if they dont want to listen or still do nothing then I would call the authorities.

Yea we allready have a trashy petco and Super pets .The Super pets petstore tells his workers not to feed the reptiles because he does not want to lose money .I turned them in numerous times .They even cleaned up a little bit.

I walked in to a place that was a 100x worse than what you described and I turned them in. I dont even want to talk about the nasty crap this place was doing. They not only neglected the animals, they gave incorect info on them, abused them ect.
They would grab the snakes behind the head hard and yank them up and down so their body would be straight. I say them do this to show some one how long the snake was. Lets just say that after I say this I had to be escoted out of the pet store. But I turned them in and they no longer own a pet store now.

If ppl here are willing to suggest to the member that he needs to train and coach the girl when the member here was rehabbing the snake and was going to give it back (despite the neglect the member posted had happened) I'd suggest talking to the owner / manager first. Maybe they're just ignorant but trainable. If nothing happens for change, THEN I'd go ahead and tell the authorities. < But keep track of the contact(s) and attempt(s) for change. >

If it's as blatant as you say, one talking-to probably won't work. But hopefully something will happen to improve the animals' circumstances!!!!

I would just turn them in to whomever has jurisdiction in your area. I think that it is likely in a new mall that the owner/owners may not be involved beyond investing in the place and complaints given in the store might fall on the deaf ears of employees that dont care. If the proper authorities threaten to shut them down if they don't meet minimum standards, that should reach the right people.
