I am using the giant concrete tubs. I plan to use the extra large litter pans from pet mate. They will hold a 1.5 easily

I am going to be building a whole new rat rack setup and trying to decide what tubs to use...I am thinking I will need to push the breeder rat numbers up to 100-125 range so planning it out now.

    Thanks
I plan to use the extra large Litter pans from Petmate. My rack will be running 96 breeders with a 1.5-1.6 in each tub and use my old rack for birthing and hold backs. Right now I am birthing about 15-20 a week.

See this is one of my communal birthing/raising tubs

And one of my grow up tubs. <ignore the male that was an escapee from a cleaning tub.

Did you get the petmate pans online somewhere? I haven't seen the Jumbo sizes in stores around here.

    Thanks

Looks like you're growing like a weed over there in the M-I croocked letter. You let me know if you need anything to fill all those extra tubs.

p.s. I'll have to join you in the joys of constuction, as I will be building 2 racks this week myself.

    Looking good Bro,

Anyway have you seen one of these tubs in person? They appear to bow out at the sides - my fear is you won't get enough contact with the rails when you build the rack to make it stable?

(also the link is for the Van Ness pans not the PetMate ones - did you mean that?)

The price seems good if these will work.
