    Childrens python

Had this girl just about a year now. And she is still very tiny. Has grown though. Still under 30 grams. Just bit me the other day and I didn't know what happened, just opened the tub and reached in. I just felt a very light pinch on my finger and was wondering what it was only to see her latched onto my middle finger. She just took a rat pink in this picture.

Children's will get around 3 feet long not much longer if any. I dare say my childrens are my favorite snakes...maybe even more so than my balls!

They were named , by John Edward Gray (Keeper of the British Museum Zooligical Department) after his mentor, John George Children, who was the Curator of the British Museum Zoological Department.

I can't speak for Heath, but Antaresia Spp. (Stimsoni, Childreni, Maculosa and Perthensis) are small hardy snakes with a ton of personality. They are easy to keep, easy to feed, easy to breed and for the most part, extremely handleable.

I got mine in a trade for 2 male sand boas. Think she was priced at $70. I've seen some on kingsnake as low as $55.

I've had mine a year before she ever attempted to bite. That's what I get for leaving rodents in the room though I guess.

Easy to care for yes, I keep her in my ball pytho hatchling rack. Pretty good feeders, started off a little slow. Would slither upto the prey and smell it for a good 10-20 minutes before grabbings it. Now its about a couple minutes.
