Ah you see, I am not the one who is just starting out. I've been there since July 1st, 2006. EVERY LAST ONE of the cafe servers and the new cafe manager has started there after me. Now the cafe manager did work at another store from the same company but that does not mean she can disrespect me. She claims to be an open book and that we can come to her with any problems or concerns we have but everytime I bring something up, she blows it off and does things her way.

I'm not the kind of person to be disrespectful back. When the cafe manager or another server starts disrespecting me, I shut up and do my work in COMPLETE silence. I only talk to customers or answer a co-worker with a single sentence.

You had me for a minute. The Hideaway outside of Chicago is a gay bar my 7th grade math teacher use to stumble out from.

That sucks. Doesn't it get frustrating that there's never anything good on?

I'm an enterprise architect for a division of a large credit reporting company out of Atlanta, so I spend my days doing software and infrastructure design and implementation.

I also have my own consulting company doing pretty much the same thing for other companies, which provides my most prominent time sink, The Mobster Game, an online game I've written from scratch that went live last February.

I actually never played any of the games in this genre before I started writing it. The guys I work with on the game were total addicts though, decided they wanted their own game, and were referred to me by a mutual friend.

That said, it's been a blast to write and watch grow as a community. Since february, we've had somewhere close to 8k users register, and average around 700 active players per week, although that's been trending upward between 10-15% a week.
