    This just might be a stupid question but...

    ...do all boas give live birth instead of laying eggs? I was just looking up argentine boas and it says they give birth to live young rather than laying eggs. I was wondering if this was true of all boas or are there exceptions?

    Yes, boas are viviparous.
    Viviparous means that the babies develop inside the mother snakes body and they come out alive.
    oviparous means that the mother snake gives birth to eggs and the babies develop in the egg while the mother incubates the eggs (in the wild)..
    Ball Pythons are oviparous.

    I can't find it, but Jimmi has posted some links to YouTube video of his boa giving birth...can anyone find that post and relink it? It's awesome. =)

    ok i might be wrong but i think the Saharan Sand Boas do lay eggs and i read theres another type of boa lays eggs
