Funny thing, Steve, I was told these scales go through batteries fast so you need the AC adapter. I've had the same batteries in mine since I got it and it doesn't seem to use up batteries at all so I never bothered to buy the adapter. How's yours that way?

Jo, I've had my scale for about a year. Still on its first set of batteries. I don't have an adapter for it. Tying it to a wall would cause problems for me!
