Re: Teen speak
These days it can be hard to keep up with the lingo that is consuming our children. A little read over www.urbandictionary.com may help you out.

Re: Teen speak
I have worked in education for a long time and hear some very "interesting" words and contexts. However not all social groups use the same words or have the same meanings.

Re: Teen speak
Slang is slang. Even our use of "cool" is pretty weird if you think about it. An adjective that means something's not hot nor freezing.. meaning that you like something??
People imitate what they hear in rap "music" a lot..

Re: Teen speak
Yeah.... I'm lost. I tend to use words such as Spiffy, Nifty, or my own accidently made up mistake TWIBBITS....don't ask what I was trying to say, I really don't remember. But the point is, they don't have alternate meanings.
However I have said 'Wicked' 'Sweet' and splendiforous..... o.O

I don't know.. Morrissey was around in the 80's! But he would run circles around these screamy 12-year-olds with dyed hair and striped sleeves..
