    Homebody gave some pretty good points. The other one I will bring up is.... It can also depend on the snake's personality.

    If you decide to try the viv, have a tub on hand just in case. Some will stress out ALOT in an more open enclosure and just need that safer feeling tub. I only have 2 snakes that way right now thankfully. You just want to make the quarantine as stress free as possible as well. (in which case the tub may be easier to maintain until she passes quarantine)
