To me, it's more like you're eating a family member. What if the cake was make to look just like your dog, your spouse or your kid? Why? Were they afraid it was poisonous? Green tree python's aren't poisonous. It's not like you baked a cobra or a rattlesnake or something.
People have been making cakes shaped like animals & things like clowns long before this- but none were realistic in appearance- they were comic caricatures. This takes some getting used to...at least for me. Maybe because of all these "reality" shows where people do kill & eat snakes, which is also something I don't want to see.
