    I decided to err on the side of caution and leave the lights out of my enclosure, but the room is lit in the evening. I just don't have lights in the enclosure. I usually let my snake out to roam most evenings anyway.

    Also, my enclosure is homemade using mostly recycled materials, so, probably, the less light the better. I works well for my snake but it's not exactly beautiful.
