    Reptile Area

After 7 months of waiting, the reptile area is complete.

To quickly get everyone up to speed, we had a sewage leak in our finished basement in June. The basement had to be cleaned, remediated of asbestos, and then rebuilt. The rebuild took 5 months vs. 3-6 weeks that were promised.

I am pleased to say everything worked out and turned out great!

    Behold, the new reptile area!

It looks great. I really like the custom enclosures you have in there as well as the wood furniture you got. Looks great

    I love the thermostat "tree."

Glad all the hassle and headache was worth it in the end.

To be honest, I was laughing about that too- but it's a good solution for sure.

It looks great, and I am so glad it turned out so well after your hellish experiences with this whole mess. It must feel so good to be able to kick back in one of those chairs and just enjoy your new reptile room!

Thank you! The custom enclosures are Boaphile enclosures and I love them. They also survived being moved about 50X while the basement was being worked on! Glad I invested in the stands/platforms for them.

My sister deserves most of the credit of the basement - more not that in a minute. However, I picked out the wood furniture myself. That and "thermostat trees" and some artwork were my contribution to the area. My sister designed the entire room, not just the reptile area.

LOL. I like your terminology. Actually, I had a vision and found these "standing coat racks" at bed bath and beyond. Very sturdy and under $100 for two. Wonderful addition to the reptile area. I didn't feel like drilling holes in the brand new wall and there isn't much room there. Yet, there are wires and I don't like having the thermostats on the floor. Viola - problem solved.

As mentioned above, a small contribution to the reptile area (aside from the wonderful reptile), but pure genius if you ask me.

It was totally worth it. Easy to say when all the reptiles managed to do well and safely get through this ordeal and the reptile area turned out as nice as it did.

Oh yeah, I picked the chair and foot stool tool! Super comfy, small form factor, and pivots.

Thank you. I am very relieved.

I was thinking practical, but they actually go with the tanks.

Thank you. My sister deserves most of the credit, but yes, I am really enjoying it.
