FYI: One more thing about using any sort of tape inside a snake enclosure, & I speak from experience, many many years ago: even tape that doesn't stick well, like old masking tape, can easily come loose when the snake slides around against it overnight, and by morning, it may be extremely well-BONDED TO the snake after they lie near the heat source.
