It was warmed up. Thawed it in the fridge for several hours, then soaked in warm water for a few minutes until it temp gunned at 100 degrees. "Fat kid on a cupcake" would be an accurate description of his enthusiasm level, once he realized it was there.

Just to be clear, you don't even have to be "fat" to be all over a good cupcake! Ask me how I know...
