It's hard not to get political when we have the state coming at us to take away our rights regarding our animals. It's hard not to make a giant post of complaints because it all ties together. Best we can do is be vigilant is paying attention to places like USARK for other issues as well so we can see all the laws they are trying to slip in without any media coverage and spread the word to people who are actually willing to do something. Even if it's spamming congress with complaint letters, it's something.

The NY ban is insane to me, not that the other crap isn't crazy too by the ban on shipping? How many big breeders work out of New York State that will have no way to get their animals out? There's also a handful of aquarium vendors in NY, and while I know this doesn't mention tropical fish, how long will it be before they try to come for those guys as well? That's not even getting into the impact this would have on farmers.
Like Nikkubus said, we have to pay attention to places like USARK because if it wasn't for that, me being down in Georgia, I would have had no idea that this was going on.
