    FWIW I do have two mainland males. They're both 8 & 10 years old and about 13-14 feet long, so they're pretty much done growing. They're not any more difficult to handle than my females. I was more addressing the "if you want a small retic get an SD" comment, because they're often trickier to handle than their larger cousins.
