    Re: Substrate/Humidity Question

    Ok, thank you!

I was thinking of getting a loose substrate from the store and putting it on the dry side, then using the damp concentrate substrate on the humid side. Is there anything wrong with using two different substrates? I think it would help with my worries about humidity and fear of scale rot/lung infection, at least, but if you all think it's a bad idea, I'll leave what I have now.

No issue at all with that. I use a blend of EcoEarth and ReptiBark. I like that it maintains humidity well, spot cleans easy, absorbs odor and looks naturalistic. It's also not as messy or dusty as some substrates.

    Re: Substrate/Humidity Question

Alright, thank you so much! I'm going to order a loose substrate for pickup and hopefully have it in his tank by tonight
