Live Feeding Questions

How ever you feed live (I don't do it), tap the snake to make sure he/she is awake. You don't want the snake injured from the prey, same reason you don't leave the live prey in for xx minutes.

That is actually a poor choice with a BP that get stress and spooked just with about anything, being startled like that is enough for the snake not to eat.

I have fed well over 100000 live preys here are the keys for successful live feeding.

Pre-scent the room by having the feeder in the room 30 minutes to an hour near during the enclosure.

During that time offer food and water to the feeder to make sure it is well fed and not dydrated that applies to people buying their feeder.

Do not stress the feeder

Do not stun the feeder

Open the enclosure drop the feeder holding it by the base of it's tail (using your hand)

Remove after 20 minutes if uneaten


If the enclosure has a lot if places behind which a feeder can hide you definitely want to move those.
