    Snakes have a superb sense of smell...my guess is that he's still smelling the scent of prey that was previously on his "roof", & hoping that more will fall from
    the sky. As far as "he can't be hungry"...snakes stay in "food mode" for anywhere from hours to days, & in the wild they cannot afford to miss meals, so don't
    think that just because he just ate, he'd refuse more. Snakes aren't that strong for staying vertical...it's normal that he's wobbling some...no, I wouldn't be ready
    to call this "star-gazing" or anything other than your snake is still smelling food & being an optimist.
