    I'm sorry for your loss. That was a great looking snake!

    While bark in the lung might seem like the cause of death-it is possible the snake got bark in its mouth/throat during its final moments. The regurge and the bark in the mouth together may indicate some sort of seizure-it is possible that this was an unavoidable end.

    I personally would necropsy the snake to examine the lung. If I found bark I would change substrate. That is just me...
