Re: Stuff you do when you take them out?
This question has nothing to do with this post. Just asking if anyone uses one of these:

This is such a fun thread to read! Valyndris, your playroom for Crowley is spectacular! (I wish I could bring my two to visit it, but knowing them, Iggy would immediately pick one hiding spot to settle in and ignore everything else, while Ravus would just nyoom around indecisively until he eventually pooped on something.) And Craig, your description of the "pee hole" entry point into your pajamas got a really undignified snort of laughter out of me, I wasn't expecting such a mental image.
On typical days, I just bring them out to crawl around my hands and arms for a bit, or to sit on my lap while I read or watch videos. However, on occasions when I have a little more inspiration, I like to do little "themed" photoshoots with them, such as plopping them on tiny furniture --

-- and introducing them to similarly sized friends.

I've got a few more photo op ideas that I'm hoping to try out in the coming weeks, including having them "model" next to some of the snake-themed jewelry that I own (I accumulated quite a lot in the years before I was able to own a real snake, haha).

Sooooooo cool!! Thanks for sharing!!
I'll be on the lookout for snake sized furniture!!
...and yeah, the "pee hole" comment was almost left off, but I figured "what the heck?".

You really should start your own thread for this question.... It's several miles off-topic.

I almost forgot, another snake "toy" I have is something I found in a thrift store: I have NO idea what it was ever used for (nor did they, lol), but I bought it.
It's a solid wood "thing", made of a vertical piece of 5/8" thick wood (about 12" wide and 3' tall) with a wider, heavier base so that it stands on it's own, and
a mini-pitched "roof" (for looks); thru-out the vertical body it has round 2" holes smoothly drilled out. It was in "new" condition...the only thing I did was coat
it with a safe water-proofing product, and now it's used by my snakes as a "climbing wall".
You should have seen the look on the face of the store clerk when I bought it & told him was I was going to use it for but they were just happy to sell it.
If you've never gone shopping in a thrift store, you've been missing a good resource...it's a treasure hunt, you never know what you'll find, & the prices are low.
