Re: Our second feeding!
It's possible he didn't feel the need to constrict because of the drop feeding, as others mentioned (which is totally fine if he'll eat that way), but it also could be because those look like very undersized meals for him. BP's generally come out of the egg eating hoppers and move up quickly to small adult mice. It's good that you fed two fuzzies, but hopefully he'll get bumped up to something sized more appropriately soon.

Yeah I was having trouble finding feeders in my area but finally found a local person yesterday. I'm picking up a bag of 10-13 g rats this Friday! She kills /freezes to order so I know they're fresh

Nice! I wish I had someone local I trusted to pick up F/T feeders from. Hopefully he'll switch to rats no problem, it's generally easier when they're young.

If you're going to make the mice-to-rats switch soon, my advice is to save a couple of the mouse fuzzies, in case you need to rub the rats with mouse scent in order to persuade Gargamel to give them a try at first. Another option is feeding a combo of 1 mouse + 1 rat, where you give the mouse first, and then follow up with the rat as the "chaser" while your snake is still in food mode. Lastly, if the frozen/thawed mice don't have a strong enough scent to transfer well onto the rat, you can ask a nearby reptile store (if you have one) for some of the used bedding for their feeder mice, and put the rat in a plastic bag with the bedding to make it more strongly mouse-scented.
There's a chance that Gargamel will give you an easy time and just make the switch without even needing any of the above techniques, but it's always good to be prepared.
I am picking up a bag of fresh killed/frozen 10-13 g rats today from a local. I usually feed on Sundays, so we will see how it goes Hopefully I will get to see him strike and constrict since I'm using larger prey!!!
