    It's preferable that they shed all in one piece, but multiple pieces can and will happen. Next time you see his belly getting pink or his eyes get cloudy, before he sheds bump your humidity up to 70% or so and it should all shed in one clean piece.

    At least that's the idea, I have a female pastave bee that still has not had a clean one piece shed with me yet. I bump humidity and make sure she's got everything she needs, still shreds her shed every time, never has any stuck, just sheds it in pieces. Oh well, there's always next time.

    I'd just look her over really well and make sure she got it all off and there isn't any shed stuck on her body anywhere, and double check to make sure her eye caps shed as well.
