If you’re gonna soak ...stay with it .i never leave them soaking unattended.
Then have a very damp , rough textured bath towel ready ..
After the soak wrap him up in the towel and let him slither around in there for a while .. keep covering him up with the towel when his head keeps popping out ..... all the time keep applying very gentle pressure .. any dead skin ( or even retained eyecaps ) will be on the towel ..
