Re: My BP habitat, thoughts?
I think it looks great. You’ve got plenty of hiding spots and clutter. As long as your little one can thermoregulate and eats, you’re good to go.

I’ll offer her the ones I have. If she refuses I’ll go get a smaller prey.

Re: My BP habitat, thoughts?
Now I'm not familiar with your entire situation. I'm going to jump out on a limb here. But I'm almost certain that if they refuse a meal it's not because of the prey size but rather due to one of many other things. EX-
some prefer mice to rats until they weigh a few hundred grams
Refusing F/T due to your procedure for offering
Fasting
Poor husbandry
Possible sickness
That's just a few. I'm not saying that you are experiencing any of these issues just informing you that there not refusing because something is too big. I have about 30 BPs now and it is up to the keeper to decided which meal I'd best for which snake and way. I have a bunch of baby girls that will literally eat any living thing in there tub that smells like a rat. Any size, any color and they will literally eat them selves to death if I wasn't a responsible keeper. Once a week with a prey item no larger than the largest part of there body. As hatchlings I feed twice a week with prey items smaller than their widest girth. Like baby rats, humans and almost any baby animals they need food and often. Anway sorry for that huge speech I'm only.trying to pass the information I have aquired along the way.

Setup looks good for a little girl. In a year you will need a different design.

She refused the rat pup. Which is funny because she looked extremely interested in it and I was expecting a strike. But she ended up getting startled by it and hiding lol. I’m going tomorrow to get a smaller one and I will try that I think I definitely just have a nervous and picky eater on my hands. Her husbandry is on point and she hides almost all the time. So her refusing isn’t due to stress.
