Help please! Snake got a bite while feeding

Just for future reference, do you think Neosporin or triple antibiotic WITHOUT pain relief would be okay for snakes?

Neosporin with out pain relief is ok for snakes, best just to use a small amount only on the wound, as if the neosporin gets everywhere it can cause scales to get flaky and fall off (is what I've heard).
