I owned quite a few critters when I joined the military, I had to split them up between people. If you have family that will care for him, then that is the best route. Just make sure they have the care sheet on hand and you can even type up your own "isms" for them as well. If it makes you feel better, I have successfully been able to move my whole collection to opposite sides of the country, and to other states, with no issues at all. There are ways to serve and still keep these guys. If you end up in barracks then they're not allowed, but eventually you won't be and you can get them back, then there's no more random inspection
